What is Get Savvy! Business Foundations?

Get Savvy! Business Foundations Program is designed to educate you on the importance of ‘doing business in the right order’, equip you with a framework for getting your expertise out of your head, and empower you to fulfil your vision.

Our 28-day program is designed for established bookkeepers who want to grow or optimise their business. Doing this program will help you save time, earn more and free up brain space.

Get Savvy includes 4 units. In your own time, you’ll watch each training video, complete pre-work and then attend #AskSavvy Sessions, to get feedback and ask questions on your pre-work.

 

Course Outline

Get Savvy! Business Foundations Program lays the foundation for your business over four weeks. Our program follows our Savvy Business Foundations template and delves deeply into the areas related to you growing or optimising your business:

Unit 1: Discovering Your Business Purpose (Why)

Discover why you’re in business and uncover your Business Story (where you’ve come from), your Vision (where you’re heading) and your Mission (how you plan to get there).

Unit 2: Identifying your Niche and Ideal Client (Who)

Delve into the values which drive and motivate you and learn to clearly articulate your Ideal Client’s Problems and demonstrate how your Solutions help them.

Unit 3: Communicating Your Marketing Message (What)

Develop your Branding to prepare for Marketing with your Value/Unique Selling Proposition, business Tagline, and create your introductory pitch.

Unit 4: Strategising Your Marketing Approach (How)

During this session, you’ll tie it all together into your marketing strategy. You’ll discover which Marketing Activities will reach your ideal client. By the end of this session, you’ll be ready to develop your first ‘Savvy’ Marketing Campaign.

What are #AskSavvy Sessions?

If you purchase the #AskSavvy Sessions in addition to your Get Savvy! Business Foundations Program, you are entitled to attend 4 live 60 minute sessions, corresponding with your 4 units. The sessions are currently held on Fridays at 1pm AEST/DT, and you are free to book yourself in for whichever weeks suit your schedule – it does not have to be 4 consecutive weeks.

These sessions are perfect for getting feedback on your progress and to help you get unstuck when you just can’t think of the right thing to say while building your marketing message.

Attending an #AskSavvy Session allows you to do just that – get imput from and pick the brain of a Team Savvy member! It also allows you to learn from other bookkeepers who are on similar journeys to you, as the session will have multiple attendees, each with their own questions and road blocks.

How do I know who is the best person to book my mentoring session with?

Do I have to complete the Get Savvy! Business Foundations Program?

Yes! The purpose of this program is in the name – it sets the Foundation for everything you will do with your business: marketing, pricing, hiring, prioritising. Everything needs a solid foundation.

When doing private mentoring sessions we want to be able to dive deep into the needs of your business, and if you haven’t set the foundations then it’s difficult for us to give the specialised help you need.

I already have a business plan, do I still have to complete the Business Foundations Program?

Yes! When working through the foundations of your business, we call it a “business plan” but really it is so much more. You can definitely draw on your existing business plan for inspiration, but the Business Foundations Program sets you up for everything you will do with your business: marketing, pricing, hiring, prioritising and more.

The way we teach the business plan not only helps you determine your marketing message but also provides you with so much content to actually use when doing your digital marketing!

Are there any other prerequisites to booking a mentoring session?

There are no prerequisites for the Get Savvy! Business Foundations Program, however this program needs to be taken before any Mentoring Sessions can be booked.

When doing private mentoring sessions we want to be able to dive deep into the needs of your business, and if you haven’t set the foundations then it’s difficult for us to give the specialised help you need. Because of this, certain topics require extra prerequisites for each of the Savvy team members. If you’re not sure which prerequisites apply to you, if any, please get in touch using the form at the bottom of this page!
